My favorite sport football
History
The modern history of the world's most popular sport spans more than 100 years of existence. It began in 1863 when England were separated paths "rugby-football" (rugby) and the "association football" (soccer), basing the oldest association in the world: the "Football Association" (Football Association of England ), the first government body of the sport.
History of the rules
Football has changed a lot since back in 1863 drafted the first rules in the Taverna Freemasons' London. That historic meeting had two important consequences: the founding of the English Football Association (FA) and, above all, the creation of the first rules of the game.
In the second half of the 1840s, students at the University of Cambridge made a first attempt to write and unify a set of common standards, but still allowed them to grab the ball with his hands. Football was practiced for centuries in the UK, especially in rural areas, where often violent struggles fought. In the early nineteenth century, the practice spread to private schools in the country. However, the first text with the final rules was not released until 1863.
